Annapurna Region Trekking

Annapurna region trekking is the marvelous massif at the end of western region is all rounded by Kaligandaki George on the west, Marsyangdi on the north, east and amazing naturally blessed city “Pokhara” to the south. Tenth highest mountain in the world, along with 29 other mountains peaks more than 7000 and 6000 meter is situated at 8091m (26545ft.) above the sea level in northern part of central Nepal.Annapurna, the word is derived from Sanskrit word which means “Goddess of harvest”. One of the reputed trekking destinations of foreigners nowadays, includes three major routes to Mt. Annapurna. Trekking through passing the beautiful city of lake called “Pokhara” provides you very much good impression at the beginning point of the trek. Stunning mountain Annapurna I (8091m\26545ft.) includes several other peaks like: Annapurna II (7937m\26040ft.), III (7555m\24786ft.), IV (7525m\24688ft.), Gangapurna (7455m\24457ft.), Annapurna South (7219m\231684ft.) and many more. Though the Annapurna region is one of the dangerous trekking trails, many ascents are made by many people. Talking about history of Annapurna, it was considered as the first peak ever climbed with 8000 m height. The first ascent via the north face was made on June 3^rd, 1950 by the French expedition Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal. Second attempt was made after 20 years in 1970 by Chris Boningtons team.
