Samye Ganden Trek is trekking to one of the most remote areas through the Tibet trail. This trek provides you the best chance to observe and analyze holy lakes, stunning mountains, lush alpine meadows along with amazing cultures.

Samye Ganden tour through highland yak pastures and over Shugu La pass (5200m/17000 ft) takes us to a sacred mountain. Where many great Buddhist saints and teachers meditated, which is very popular and remote area in Tibet. visit the most hidden wilderness and unique beautyness of Tibet.
However, Tibet first opened for travelers in 1985, this trek consists of the crossing of the 2 mountain passes, beautiful alpine lakes, and nomads. The trek begins from The Ganden Monastery (4180 m), 32 km by road from Lhasa high above the Kyichu River and ends at The Samye Monastery. You can do sightseeing in Kathmandu before or after the trek. Visit some monastery, ancient temples, with beautiful art and artistries
of the medieval period during your tour.
Similarly we can take good time acclimatizing in Tibet, Lhasa and Ganden before we start out on this trek. The nature of the terrain on the trek to Samye can create serious difficulties for anyone suffering from AMS while crossing Shug La (5250m) or Chitu La (5100m) en-route to Samye. Itinerary
Take off from Kathmandu Airport at 10: 00 hrs (Nepal Standard Time). During the flight (weather permitting) you will see the following: Yarlang Tsampo, Yamdrok Tso, Mt. Kanchanjunga (8586m)m, Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Mt. Everest (8848m).Transfer from the airport to your Hotel. Complete rest.
These days you will be engrossed with sightseeing and excursion of the Potala Palace ,The Jokhang Temple, surrounding Barkhor market area, Drepung and Sera monasteries. Overnight in Hotel Mandala.
Rest day in Lhasa for acclimatization. Overnight in Hotel Mandala.
Drive from Lhasa to Namtso. Overnight in Guest House.
Drive back to Lhasa. Overnight in Hotel.
Drive to Ganden. Visit monasteries and drive further to Gamye and the Trek starts. Overnight in Camp.
Trek, approx 5 / 6 hrs walk. Overnight at Camp.

Trek, After Approx 4 / 5 hrs walk, the Trek ends at Samye. Overnight in Camp.
Drive for approx 7 hours via Yamdroktso Lake. Overnight in Hotel.
After breakfast visit the Khumbum Stupa and the Palkhor Monastery. After Lunch drive for 1 and 1/2 hours to Xigatse. After arrival in Xigatse we will visit the famous Tashi Lumpo monastery and the Local Xigatse Market. Overnight in Hotel.
Drive towards Tingri via Sakya monastery. Overnight in Guest House.
Drive to Rongbuk for 4 hrs. From Rongbuk group will walk to the Everest Base Camp and again walk back to Rongbuk. This back and forth walking will take 5 & ½ hours and driving will take 2 hours. Overnight in Guest House.
Drive to Nylam for 8 hrs. Overnight in Guest House.
Drive for 7 hours and back to Kathmandu .
