Covering an area of 10.8 sq. km at an altitude of 2,990 meters, the lake is 167 meters deep, 5.1 km long, and 2.7 km wide. Rara Lake is a favored destination for tourists due to its surrounding Rara National Park, home to diverse wildlife including aquatic species, birds, and varied flora and fauna.

The climate around Rara Lake is pleasant during the summer but cold in the winter. Tilicho Lake

Tilicho Lake is the highest lake in the Himalayas, located in the Manang district at an altitude of 4,919 meters.
