Panchase trekking is one of the best ways of exploring the Annapurna region. Spectacular views of Pokhara valley, Annapurna (8091m\26545ft.), Fishtail (6947m\22793ft.), Mt. Himchuli (6441m\21131ft.), and many other mountains.

Trip Summary

Panchase Trekking is one of the short treks in the Annapurna region. In this trek, we roam around Pokhara with beautiful sceneries of naked White Mountains. During the trek, we get an opportunity and unforgettable memory to meet and greet different people with different ethnicity. This trek is getting popular day by day with new travelers because they can trek as well as experience the culture and see the glorious view from 2500m Panchase Hill. You get a great chance to observe the local cultures of people along with their unique traditions, customs, norms, and values. Lakes, rivers, endangered animals, and fascinating rhododendron flowers are other main attractions of this region.

Likewise, visit some of the world heritage sites in Kathmandu with beautiful art and architectures, stupas, and temples which are the highlight of the medieval period. You can do a tour before or after the Panchase trek. Sunrise Adventure trek will make your Panchase trip memorable from your arrival to departure. If you want to do a day tour, you can enjoy an ABC helicopter tour with a massive aerial view of the Annapurna 1 (8091 m), Dhaulagiri (8167 m), and other high Himalayas. Colorful rhododendron forest and the amazing sunrise view of the Himalayas are the next highlights of the Panchase trail. Experience the different mixed cultures of Gurung, Magar people.

Completely suitable for all age groups and with any fitness level, this trek is great to do in a short time. Also great for photographic destinations, Panchase trek makes you realize the infinite experience you can gain from small treks. Once you finish the trek back to Pokhara, you will drive back to Kathmandu.


After your arrival in Kathmandu, our representatives will pick you up from airport. You will be transported to the hotel and brief introduction will be given about the trek at Sunrise in evening.

Today we make our day blissful with sightseeing around Kathmandu area. We visit Swayambhu-the monket temple, Pashupatinath-the biggest Hindu temple, Bauddhanath Stupa and many other heritage sites with durbar squares like Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square. In Kathmandu Durbar Square you can see living Goddess, Kumari. All of the structures are built in ancient Newari style and resembles their own traditional values. Paintings, sculptures, statues of deities are most valuable in temples and Stupas.

After having breakfast early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara for around 7 hours. This is a scenic drive with breaks in the way. The drive is very likable as we travel from scenery filled way and getting away from Pollution of Kathmandu. Pokhara is the heaven place of Nepal where we get to observe the beautiful natural scenery and ancient caves. Here we get to explore the amazing snowcapped views of Annapurna ranges and Mt. Fishtail along with amazing caves like Bat, Gupteshwor, Manhendra and Lakes like Rupa, Begnas, Fewa. If we arrive earlier in Pokhara we can roam around Pokhara and Lakes around it.

After reaching at Pokhara we take a short drive to Khare Khola which includes the beauties of lush green forests, then after this we start trek to Bhumdi, for around 3 hours. We walk through the trail which takes us through the mountains around us. Passing the Davis falls; we move forward to the Gurung and Bhramin village. Thus, this offers us a great chance to closely observe the cultural and traditional values of local people living there along with the way they survive their life. Walking takes us to Bhumdi finally from where we can see stunning views of mountains and Fewa Lake below us. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner and finally an overnight stay in trekking lodge.

Today, we pass through the beautiful forest with spectacular mountain views between the trees today Panchase Bhanjyang where we are going to trek is also a small pass. We also get to see three mountains over 8000m high from this Bhanjyang. Namely they are: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu. After a short walk from the jeep trails, we finally reach the Panchase Bhanhyang. Panchase Bhanjhyang is also settled by Bhramins and Gurungs. So, it’s easy to observe their cultures. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner and finally an overnight stay in trekking lodge.

Early in the morning we take a short hike to the Panchase Peak (2500m) from where we can see sunrise above the beautiful snowcapped mountains along with spectacular views of the Stunning Mountains. After taking short stop in the hill we descend through the Alldanda with short walk around camp site. From here we can see villages below and mountains above. This trek includes the scenic moments along with remote cultures and traditions. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner and finally an overnight stay in trekking lodge.

We take an early breakfast and follow the trek to reach Kande, we pace toward Kande after leaving Bhaudaure. This trek is also the way of green forests filled with rhododendron flowers, oaks and pines trees. For our overnight we stay at Kande. Meals included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner and finally an overnight stay in trekking lodge.

From Kande we take drive back to Pokhara where we can do sightseeing and do shopping while buying souvenirs. We visit Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, world peace pagoda, etc. in our leisure time.

For the journey back to Kathmandu we can either take scenic drive or take beautiful Mountain View flight. Both the journey is amazing offering travelers the journey of lifetime. After reaching at Kathmandu take some rest and join evening meal and cultural program offer by the company

  • Trekking Group Size

    We organize trekking in Annapurna region for any number of people. If the group consists of more than 16 pax, we will split the group and arrange accordingly. We will assign one trek leader, one assistant leader for the group of four pax and porters (one porter between two members ) to carry members luggage. This arrangement ensures that the group can still go ahead as scheduled itinerary despite any member gets sick on the way in the trekking.
  • Experience and Health Requirements

    Panchase trekking is considered a moderate trek suitable for those who can hike for 5 – 7 hours a day. Obviously hiking in the high altitude will not be so easy rather physically more demanding, however our itinerary is scheduled for the proper acclimatization while gradually gaining the altitude in the trekking. It will be advisable to have some walking and hiking or other outdoor activities which will contribute to comfortable accomplishment in reaching Panchase . No technical skills or use of crampons are required for this trekking. It is highly recommended for the trekkers to consult with the doctors before coming for this trekking. Trekkers who have asthma, allergy or any other diseases related to hurt, lungs should take more precaution for this trekking.
  • Travel Insurance

    Trekkers need to have traveling insurance which covers the comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and medical treatment costs). Insurance companies in Nepal do not provide travelling insurance for the foreigners and the trekkers need to get the travelling insurance from one of the international insurance companies. Sunrise Adventure Trek will have accident insurance for the trekking staff.
  • Accommodations

    Accommodation in Kathmandu will be arranged on twin sharing basis on BB plan except the extra cost for the single supplement (depending on the room availability ) according to the choice of the standard of the hotels before and after the trekking. Accommodation during the trekking will be arranged at standard teahouses/ lodges with unheated rooms with wooden beds and foam mattresses on twin sharing basis. The trekkers will have to share washing and toilet facilities. If the trekker is a solo traveler, he/she will have to share a room with the trekker of same sex.
  • Meals

    Trekkers are provided three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) during Panchase trekking. They can enjoy wide variety of food from typical Nepali food,Tibetan food to all types of international cuisine (Continental, Italian, and Indian.). Unlike other trekking companies, Sunrise AdventureTrek allows trekkers to choose the food from the menu at the hotel / lodges in the trek. When the group is too big for the hotels/ lodges to provide individual dishes, set menu will be arranged in most places. We use the lodges / hotels which serve hygienic, nutritious and good food for the trekkers for them to get enough energy for the hiking.
  • Acclimatization

    Any trekker can get altitude sickness while trekking despite strong physically fitness. What is important is giving enough time for the proper acclimatization for the trekking. Sunrise Adventure Trek has planned the itinerary with gradual altitude gain giving enough time for acclimatization for the trekkers. Hiking slowly specially in the high altitude help prevent AMS ( Acute Mountain Sickness ). If anyone feels dizzy, suffer palpitation or severe headaches and loss of appetite, he / she will be moved to the lower altitude immediately or arrange the helicopter rescue in the severe case of AMS and the client has to pay for it.
  • Clothing and personal

    A variety of clothing is necessary for the Panchase trek. While choosing the equipment trekkers need give emphasis on two simple aspects: Lightweight and Functional. The items should be lightweight, dependable, and adaptable to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The quality of the trekking equipment you choose has a lot to do with how warm, dry, and safe you will remain. For this reason you have to be critical of quality and the proper fit of clothing.

  • Porter Care

    We are strongly committed to the porters rights. We make sure that they are well paid and have the proper clothing, foot ware and shelter. We are aware that no porter should be asked to carry a load that is too heavy for their physical abilities and the weight limit should be adjusted for altitude, weather and trail condition. We request our members not to have more than 15 kg weight of luggage to give to the porters. Porters who become sick while in the trekking are treated with high priority just like the other trekking staff or the members. If needed helicopter is sent and rescued in case of sever condition of sickness or accident. All porters are insured for sickness and accident.
  • Best Season

    Nepal, as a tourist destination is good for all seasons, however, the best seasons for trekking to Annapurna region are Spring (March – May) and Autumn (mid Sept. – mid Dec. ). Trekking in autumn season is noted for clear weather and excellent views of silvery mountains against blue sky. It gets colder towards the end of December. This trek can be done in any month except January and February.
